Dr. Shessy Rellán studied Medicine at the Universidad Autónoma de Chiriquí (UNACHI), beginning her studies in 2010 and graduating in 2016. She completed her medical internship between 2017 and 2019, strengthening her clinical experience and hands-on medical practice.

Dr. Rellán's interest in regenerative and longevity medicine began around two years ago, drawn by the rapid evolution of the field and the innovative alternatives it offers patients. Seeing how these advances can improve patients' quality of life shaped her continued focus on regenerative medicine and longevity. She is particularly interested in the application of regenerative medicine to aesthetic and anti-aging treatment, an area she considers to have significant potential for long-term health and wellness.

At BioGenesis, Dr. Rellán works alongside Dr. Raúl Moreno, Dr. Bolívar Franco, and Dr. Juan Diego Samudio as part of the clinical team supporting patient evaluation and care.

When did your interest in regenerative and longevity medicine begin?
"I was drawn to how quickly regenerative medicine is evolving and the new opportunities it offers patients... That's what motivated me to focus on this area, as well as on longevity medicine."
What area of regenerative medicine would you like to develop in the future?
"I'm particularly interested in regenerative medicine applied to aesthetic medicine and anti-aging. It's a field with great growth potential."
Outside of medicine, what are your hobbies?
"My main hobby is dance. I especially enjoy Latin rhythms, particularly salsa. I also love spending time with my dogs, who are an important part of my life."
